Hi, I'm Zhiyuan. I study statistics and machine learning at Carnegie Mellon, where most of my time goes to building full-stack web apps, developer tooling, and interfaces that feel good to use. I care about fast software, clean design systems, and the small details that make products delightful.

Turn any image into a live risograph print: limited spot inks, halftone dots, slight misregistration, and paper grain.

Metaballs

Drag flat, solid-colour blobs into each other and watch them fuse into one shape, then cleanly split apart.

OKLCH

Grab the three numbers of a perceptual colour space and watch lightness stay honest, palettes stay balanced, and gradients skip the grey dead zone.
